午後氣息 濃濃地才散去
/ 12:03 AM
all kinds of experiences..
scooters are a common sight in taiwan.
almost everyone was riding one.

well, i'm back from taiwan, and i'm still having that feeling of dread every time i came back from overseas. it was quite fun there, lots of food till we grown fat, lots of walking till our legs and back broke 7548235 times and lots of sightseeing till our eyes see stars. i'm lazy to post the details of what happened each day, but i'm going to post many, many photos on facebook with some comments on the each happenings. first coming up was food pictures!!
edit: stupid facebook!! error in uploading the pictures and i have to do it all over again.
something i realised: on almost every trip that i have gone to, i would listen to a certain playlist of songs, something like a theme song for the trip.
Genting Trip (Sec 2): F.I.R. - 飛兒樂團 同名專輯
Japan Trip: Bartender Original Soundtrack
Korean Trip: Classical songs by Nodame Cantabile
SPCO China Trip: 云南回忆
Taiwan Trip: Songs by Stefanie Sun (孙燕姿)
it may sound a bit stupid but even during my primary 5 camp the theme song is Coast To Coast by Westlife, mainly because my group sang that song for our campfire performance.
now i'm listening to 一樣的夏天 by Stefanie, got this really relaxed feeling. it also reminded me of that time when i sat in a bus in taiwan. it's raining that time, good time for thinking and pondering about things and i really thought of many things, the past, things that happened right before i went for the trip. you may say it's emo-ing, but not exactly.
today i went to class gathering, suki sushi buffet at cineleisure. jingshi, yongrong and cheeyang didn't go and i don't know why and i don't feel like knowing why, they didn't tell me. i know sam has something on so it's okay. feels very weird at first, but after that it became sort of okay. mdm quek paid for us first and i was hoping she won't remember to collect back the money.
tomorrow i feel like going to punggol beach, been ages since i went there. i went there last time full of questions in my head, hopefully will not be that much tomorrow.

/ 4:21 PM

the first place i'll see in taiwan

lazy. im always feeling lazy nowadays. or more like no motivation to do things and im feeling very tired of things happening around me. but one thing good is that im going taiwan with my cousins!! yup, yingting's post reminded me the time when my uncle had to carry me on his back during our trip to hongkong. so paiseh!! so this time make sure i must not be erm... weak? no lah wrong phrasing.
tmr having performance, monday prep camp, tue & wed foc camp, thu taiwan.. omg how come everything likes to cram together consecutively?? after trip, study for test, do fyp (*guilty*), do assignments, catch up on my studies and blah blah blah blah blah. haix.. things can't seems to end.

so you are saying it is our fault??
/ 10:50 PM
look who's talking.
ok my blog went into a coma again because i got NYAA report which took me days and nights to finish. I'M LACKING OF SLEEP RIGHT NOW!! here's to recall last week's events (lazy to post pictures):
went to guest play for npco for their public performance. the songs are sort of rojak but sort of indian + chinese rojak = something that taste weird. and the changes they made to scores were totally last minute, even until before we went on stage there are still changes. omg of course when playing i buang-ed, forgot there's a change in 弓法 oops. may not like their way of working, especially in their way of selling tickets, one reason they have a lot of audience is because they practically forced us the guest players to sell tickets. ok i shall not talk too much about this. anyway good job for your concert and wanhua, congratulations for your successful solo performance!!
had fop on wednesday, and like last year, it is sort of awkward. ok every year it is awkward, but at least this year the year 1s are more enthusiastic in joining our games. so not too bad!!
also celebrated chengying's birthday on wednesday after fop. ate fish & co and omg i cant forget the jungle whatever drink it is. it's HUGE!!! next time i must reminded myself not to celebrate birthday at fish & co le. quite embarrassing for chengying bah. have to stand on a chair. but after that he got serious stomachache. good that cy got well.
yesterday we have a performance at singapore arts musuem. actually i felt a bit disappointed about it. as in some people who could have helped just sit there and talk while i am running around, panicking about the bus which have not come yet. in the end they forgot about sending a bus there and we have to take taxi instead. i mean, siao, which company don't want business?? still forget somemore. also there's a year 1 there and we are giving him all the wrong impression and i scared he don't feel like coming anymore. some of the songs we played there were impromptu, but it didn't turn out too bad. david was there too, took a lot of photos, had chicken rice and coffee/tea as drinks =.=. on a random note, the guy who sang while we are eating sang really well!! i like the song a lot.
anyway i finally finished my nyaa report. now i must focus on the fyp le. im lagging quite behind the rest of my group. feeling guilty ar..

51.5 hours later!!
/ 11:25 PM
i'm still high
51.5 hours after the concert and i'm still thinking of what happened and everything!! and tonight i shall post specially for our dear soloists and important people in the concert and of course MY MUM because it's mothers' day!!! or rather it's belated mothers' day
firstly is our dear conductor mr lee!! he has been in SPCO for quite some time, and i'm sure we didn't disappoint him in this year's concert and we are already thinking of what songs to play!!! :D
handsome and cute (denise said)

secondly it's ruiping!! who played 渔歌 using the 高音阮. she had a hard time getting the right feel and her lun-ing right too. but still she put up a great performance. 辛苦你了 ruiping!!!
ruiping in full concentration on her ruan

thirdly it's chengying!! honestly i think that he should win the guy-with-the-most-surprises award. when he goes on stage, EVERYONE was surprised and shocked with his attire even us the performers. and he too put up a wonderful performance of The Typewriter which is something new for everyone. who would think of using a typewriter in CO?!?! and not to mention that he gave his flowers to huiling!! OMG HUILING WHOOTS!!!
nerdy nerdy chengying rocks the stage!!

of course last but not least my very very very good friend YISHAN!!! last year's concert she didn't wear a costume for her 红梅. so it also a surprise to see her in her 唐装. and she played really well!! honestly when we are practicing for this song, we had a hard time to get the song right and play it without stopping. but thankfully we succeeded!! and it sounded great in the concert!! so sorry for not wishing her good luck before she goes up on stage but was happy for her when we finished this song wonderfully!!
and denise said she looked as sexy as last year's

congrats to yishan, ruiping and chengying for their great performance!! of course many thanks to aijie friends who took these nice nice photos for us!! great for keep as memories!!
also not forgettingtoday yesterday is mum's day, we all went out and eat sushi tei!!! nice food, love the food, enjoyed the food!! too bad we didn't take photos of the food :(. and i got a parka at last!!
ok tmr got school. omg so sian suddenly have to go back to projects, study and exams. nites~~

i really liked it alot
/ 11:23 PM
and i felt relieved.. and happy.
it's 24 hours since the concert ended and even up to now, though i'm still tired, i'm still feeling high. literally on cloud nine. and the concert just zoomed past by me and before i knew it the concert had ended and now i'm at home relaxing. but one thing sad about this concert is that I DIDN'T TAKE MUCH PHOTOS!! i was running and there and people have to catch me to take one...
...like this one!!.

and denise, fiddling with the cello or playing it??

bernard

chengying preparing his typewriter..
but wait till you see him on the actual performance!!
too bad no one has the photo yet will post it next time!!

so sad that my mum and denise said i do not look like percussion player.. :(

kingchi throwing the luo in the air.. wow cool man!!!

love the effect where you can see the motion of kingchi's hand!!

denise said ekjun played like he's taking a walking in the park

joel editing the scores. we got loads of problem with the 弓法
i think the prob lies in me bah
cos i didn't follow the scores totally.. opps

our beloved conductor mr lee!!!

it was especially during the concert that i disappeared very quickly because i need to settle things here and there and couldn't stop for photos. and the erhu people did not take a group photo in the end =((. but at least i took photos with the percussion before going up on stage for 冲天炮 and Technology.
YEA!!

cello & bass took a group photo too..

jingshi and denise proudly showing off our concert's brochure!!
we have to keep folding them throughout as the company didn't.

and presents done for our alumnis and guest players!!
had a hard time thinking on what to do
spent the hours in ikea to find a suitable one
but thankfully it turned out nice!!
gave them like a prize presentation ceremony just before the concert starts.
huiling and xingzuan liked it very much
and hope the rest liked it too!!

lastly lastly is our concert poster!!
done by aijie and we loved it a lot!!
looked so modern and cool and it gives us our identity
hope aijie can do one more next year!!

when we are organizing this concert, we are practically doing it 24 hours for the last 3 weeks: thinking of anything we could have left out, thinking of who to sell the tickets to, preparing gifts, settling publicity stuffs, getting guest players, practicing till very late with meetings after that, going home feeling dead every night, getting scolding from mum because denise and i came back late. all of us have to sacrifice in one way of another to do more for the concert. for me, i have to skip classes to find david, using email to get quotations, send quotations, request for emcees, which is equals to not listening to class. i'm very sorry to my fyp teammates because of the concert, i couldn't do much yet.
everyone helped to publicize this concert: posting an event on facebook, posting on blog, putting it on msn messenger nicknames, posting onto school websites, finding other clubs to sell to, going to cc, asking SAA officers and anyone whom we can get our hands on. it wasn't full house in the end and we were very worried that very few people will turn out when we at backstage looking at the screen which showed the front row (quite empty). but when went out to stage, we saw many many people in the back rows and many of us were relieved, as in extremely. showed that our efforts were not in vain.
during practice, i'm already feeling tired from all the running/worrying/calling/sms-sing/moving/sorting and i couldn't play too well. until the very last minute, i'm still worried about my 茉莉花 solo because even during rehearsal, my solo messed up twice with my erhu sounding weird. i also caused inconvenience for the other players when my 弓法 keep going wrong, misleading people (so it's not your fault huiling!!!). even during the concert we made a number of mistakes but not big enough to stop the song of course.
thanks to my committee!! for doing so many things and till the end.
thanks to mum, yingting, her mum & dad, zhichao, meibin, lydia, yingzhen, zimin, celeste, sam, cheeyang for buying my tickets!!
thanks to yongrong, jinyong, koknam, qihao, jiawei, camilla, arthur for coming down to watch too!!
thanks to jayne, and zhengyan for being the emcees for our concert!! they are very stressed about the scripts too..
thanks to mum for her 泡参茶!!
thanks to alumni, guest players for performing/watching/helping!!
thanks to david for his support though he's always busy with some competition/events/stuffs.
and thanks to everyone else whom i did not mention who helped made this concert a fun success in one way or another!!!

SPCO is a place where you love and hate. hate because of the many difficult things that made us stressed out, sad and irritated. love because we had fun in the end of everything. it's also a place where you learn many many many many many things and experience. makes me want to come back for practice every week, and looking forward to the concerts in many years to come. the co room is not the 2nd place in SP. it's the number one place where i can relax, play instruments, play restaurant city (LOL), laugh with people, talk alone with friends. when i open the door with the key, i would always think "hi. i'm back again.".
i can now be relieved that the concert is over. i can spend more time sleeping on bed finally.

another secret
refer to my previous post!
if you want to know what is it!

it's been a long long time since i posted here, 15 days? wow.. anyway!! maybe i will just list down some ofthe events that happpened during this period just for memory sake. it'll take too long to write them all in detail:
- excellence in service award
- gathering with meibin and yishan at newton circus (just before the 200+ dollars prawns incident)
- gathering with yongrong, sam and others
- going to gek poh ville co to help out
- itp
- itp
- itp
yup itp really takes up most of my time this holiday until i can't do what i want to. i feel like learning after effects to create videos. why?? got my motivation from kinetic typography which i read it somewhere and i find it quite interesting. how do they do it?? any way here are some of the examples of it but not really the best i could find except for the Who's the First video which took me some time to understand the true meaning and finally i find it funny.
tmr i'm going back to ngee ann for some dinner, will see how is it. been a long time since i went back there. i think they finished renovating. i don't even know whether they have renovated finish. and also it reminds me that tmr is monday. ITP?!?!? must jiayou liao..

one week since i started my ITP and im totally dead..
on the first day when i entered the company we have to go through a security briefing for 2 HOURS?! and most of the time the security guy was there repeating the same point about anything with camera are not allowed to be brought into the building. and because i have to find a non-camera phone in order to at least survive in the company.
once i entered the restricted area, the first thought that struck me was: it looks like a polyclinic. but i think maybe because it's for security purpose and somemore it doesn't really bother, so it's not something much of a big deal. BUT the big deal is: our task. for me and glo, we have to go thorugh an ex-intern's code and we have to find a solution to a specific problem. it took us days, actually, it's 4 days, to try to think of one but failed. and when we go back on monday, we have to continue =.=
anyway i dun wan to talk too much about it. anyway today after i went downstairs and ran (wow i actually did!!), i went home and and down again a camera to take some photos. it's the time of the year again and i noticed that the flowers are dropping, though i would prefer to see sakura petals fall. yes, it's THAT time of the year, it's spring!! during the process i also took other random and some interesting pictures:

tada!! egg!! i made it one hor~

plans, it's great to see many people around having them. but i don't have any. i want one!! to make my life more eventful.
